Practice makes perfect
I think we need some practice before we just show up to a game and get our ass kicked. We can at least practice getting our ass kicked.

Thur. 6:15 at Bartlett. Depending on the schedule, I'm planning on getting a scrimmage together with Nutbush before the season starts.

I agree. We can do a Thursday night thing (if anyone shows up) or sometime Saturday or Sunday. I'd like to meet any new people before the first game.

Cheers,
Freeman Park, in Bartlett around 6:15 or so. It's across the street from Pig'n Whistle. See you there!

Re: Practice makes perfect
Nutbush has a scrimmage over by me (east memphis). Matt said he might need some players, so I'm going to go. If anyone else wants to chance it, give me a call. I'm sure they'll need subs since they only have ~14 people on their roster. I doubt everyone will show. Even if they do, we can still kick the ball around.

I'm going to talk to Matt (Nutbush) today about a scrimmage this coming Sunday. Can everyone make that? Probably be around the same time/place (6:15ish off Quince).

Re: Practice makes perfect
That's the only thing I'm worried about. I think Matt wants to get the girls from co-ed to come out, so as long as we can get at least 10 of our guys out we should have a game.
Last Sunday wasn't too brutal. I played on the side that didn't have subs and the Bush had a couple. Luckily most everyone was at scrimmage speed and I only had to take a knee a couple times. Unfortunately their forwards were not at scrimmage speed and I was playing D.

Wednesday or Thursday Practice/Kick Around
I was wondering if anyone wanted to get together this Wednesday or Thursday to practice. With my work schedule I haven't had the opportunity to kick the ball around much. I was just thinking some minor stuff including some free kick set pieces to give us and the goal keeper some work. Anybody in?

Re: Practice makes perfect
I'd prefer to do both. Much rather everyone make the scrimmage on Sunday, though. Would like a head count on who can/can't make it Sunday around ~6 off Quince right after Ridgeway Middle.

I say let's go ahead and plan for this Thursday- it sounds like everybody can make it on that day. Same place and time.
