BACKUP PAPERWORK INFO - PLEASE READ Empty BACKUP PAPERWORK INFO - PLEASE READ

From Curt:

I hope everyone will read this, or at least two responsible people on every team will read this...because there never, never, never, never, EVER be another forfeit in this league due to a lack of paperwork. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER. Every season, I cover this at the coaches meetings, and yet every season, it seems somebody can't figure this out, doesn't remember, or fails to tell their second-in-command.

Why? Because it's SO EASY....

* The league has a big, black mailbox installed at the Mike Rose Complex. It is located at the edge of the white fence as you enter the lower parking lot, across from the restroom pavilion near fields 4 and 6. It's has big white letters on the front that say "GMSA".

* The top part is where coaches pick up player cards of players who have been added during the season. The lower portion has a lock on it, just to keep the door closed and the weather out. The combination to the lock is 1-2-3-4.

*Inside the locked portion you will find several notebooks for each of our men's, women's, and coed divisions. Inside each notebook, you will find the following:

---A copy of every team's player card sheets as they existed at the beginning of the season.
---A copy of the in-season player cards for any player who was added after the initial roster freeze deadline.
---Some extra copies of a GMSA match report...one for each team, as it existed at the beginning of the season, and several others that are completely blank.

If for some reason you do not have your paperwork at the game (the coach is late, not present, forgot to give it to someone else, left it at home, or whatever), all you have to do is GO TO THE MAILBOX to retrieve the back-up set from the bottom of the mailbox.

The only adjustments you will need to make are to write in the jersey numbers for the players on the match report, and write in the name and ID number for any players who were added to your roster after the start of the season. Those players ID numbers are located on their player cards.

If your coach isn't there within four or five minutes of kickoff, or if he shows up without the paperwork, tell the referee you are going to retrieve the paperwork, and GO GET IT QUICKLY! We should NEVER have this problem of a match being forfeited for a lack of player cards ever again!
