Last Night - Pride April 23rd

Good job last night everyone. We played exactly the way we played the Warriors and we dominated against their full squad. We only have two games left before the playoffs and they are against the same team. We should definitely end the season 5-3-2, which certainly isn't bad considering we're still basically a new team.

I want to run up the score against Arirang as much as we possibly can. If we play like we have the past couple of games I don't see that as being too difficult. I don't want us to go out there and get complacent, either. Our goal differential could mean the difference between 3rd, 4th, and 5th place. I've posted the tentative divisional playoff schedule below. You see what happens if we're 4th/5th place? We would have a game on a Thursday at 5:30. That sucks. Lets beat these guys, and not concede any goals.

One more thing. As soon as anyone finds out how Rod is doing, post it up.

I called Rod after the game last night and his sister answered... she said he was doing fine but complaining a little bit about the pain. I didn't get much details after that, she couldn't talk long. I told her to tell him we won 5-0 and I heard him say "sweet".

I hope that guy is ok, that was pretty bad. You guys looked good last night, hope to see you in the playoffs!!

You guys are going up, so if we don't see you in the playoffs it might be a while before we play again. That would suck. How kick ass would a FC Nutbush vs. AC Frayser division final be? They would have to put that in the stadium, right?

If the Bush beat Pride and Warriors beat Pride (or they get a draw and a loss from either) then we have more points than them. This is contingent on us beating Arirang twice, though. We have a real good chance at 3rd place.

All finals used to be in the stadium, looks like they have it scheduled for field #7 this year. Oh well, we'd love to meet up in the finals, but that is a long way off and too many difficult games ahead to try and pencil ourselves in there! We beat Airirang 5-2 yesterday but they are no joke!! If it weren't for Herold's great play we would have lost 2-1, he had 4 goals all on breakaways. You thumped Pride yesterday but they can be a frustrating team when they are playing well. Express is the wildcard here, they have not lost a game yet and will be tough to beat!

Rod I hope that you're feeling better dude. Keep us updated please.

I exchanged some texts with Rod yesterday and he's pretty busted up. He said he broke his ankle and the shoulder was definitely out of place.

We played a hell of a game on all fronts guys. Once again, the defense sealed it and as a keeper, I love those clean sheets. Let's keep it up.

Hope you ge to feeling better rod. Having had a badly sprained ankle and a seperated shoulder as my last two injuries I certainly feel your pain. I can't imagine having to deal with both at the same time. I see lots of alcohol and pain pills and sleeping pills in your future. Best of luck with your recovery.


Great game by everyone. Our defense did very well. I have to give props to the whole squad. Midfield Defense and Strikers everyone seems to have the same mindset of late and the results are showing big time.
